Windows Insider 22572
Now that was fast!
What’s new under the hood this time?
-Family options What you needed to configure within your Microsoft account settings, came to your OS, great! You can now edit those security settings from within your Windows Security pane and decide about the digital well being of your children. As it seems the feature is restricted to home edition and is being updated through the market place.
-ClipChamp Also a new inbox app for the current Windows build, never heard of it before and presents itself as an easy to use and pretty straight forward video editor for the broader mass and aspiring enthusiast. Being well integrated with OneDrive to speed up workflow and upcoming free of use stock audio & video clips, it sounds interesting, I will give it a try and let you know.
-Search highlights in Windows 11
Coming up next week new search features will be rolled out, which should evolve the search box which is right yeah, in your taskbar. I still find myself searching using the Windows button, it’s your fault Microsoft you gave me that habbit with Windows 8! 😄
Besides this there will be new updates like the possibility to dig deeper and have noteable and interesting moments, quote of days and similar things. I’m looking forward to it, to be honest I wasn’t always satisfied with the direction the search feature within Windows moved, for me it was rather sideways..
-Windows Terminal is the new Terminal!
(k.)
-New Microsoft Defender Preview! Looks interesting, but is currently only available for the US. It seems to integrate with the Familiy options and let’s you view and manage your family device’s Defender settings. cool (but currently only from within the Windows App)
-Bug Bash is coming! From March 16th to March 22nd, the Insiders are giving an extra effort in finding bugs, reporting problems and supplying feedback. Looking forward to it!
And a lot of other visual and bug fixes, respectively adaptions.
That’s it for now and so long,
Alex
